Zeitgeist Courier is a magazine of literature and arts housed in the University of Isfahan. Founded in 2016 by students of English Literature, Mohammad Sajadi and Yasha Mostafaoghli, the magazine aims to explore movements, genres, schools, and recurrent concepts in literature, and find their traces in the modern and contemporary literature and arts. Based at the heart of Isfahan, the city where has been the home to many of the best Iranian contemporary writers, we wish to share with the world the voices of knowledgable talented writers and artists.
The print magazine appears twice yearly and its contributors mostly comprise Iranian writers and artists. Each issue as a whole, has a thematic coherence and we accept submissions accordingly from writers of every race, gender, ethnicity, culture, national origin, age, and experience. We publish poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and scripts in a variety of forms and styles, alongside reviews, interviews, and criticisms, and we highly appreciate comparative articles. As the language of the magazine is English, translation is also a regular part of every issue. New, emerging, and mid career writers whose works has been published in Zeitgeist Courier, have won literary awards, published their books, became bestsellers, and collaborated for their publications in the recent years.
Training and cultivating the publishing professionals of tomorrow, Zeitgeist Courier invites graduate students of English Literature, and professional literary translators to participate in every aspect of the publication process.
